The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Santiago Max (6-2) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were edged by third ranked LDC Ignite (4-7) 110-107. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Santiago Max. LDC Ignite made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Clarence Tillman (196-1990, college: N.Georgia) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard DAngelo Elliott (196, college: Temple JC) contributed with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Victor Torres (189-1995) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds for Santiago Max. LDC Ignite maintains third place with 4-7 record having three points less than leader Georgia P. Santiago Max at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. LDC Ignite are looking forward to face league's second-placed Santiago Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Victor Torres (189-1995) stepped up and scored 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Cristian Garcia chipped in 17 points. Santiago Max's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Moises Peralta responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Santiago Max have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-2 record. Santiago Basket at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. Santiago Max will play against Del Patio (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Santiago Basket will play against the league's second-placed Verano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Immortals (9-0) which hosted in Santiago second-ranked Verano (2-5). Leader Immortals had an easy win 103-82. Malvin Payero nailed 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Raul Torres came up with 30 points for Verano in the defeat. Undefeated Immortals have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Verano lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the second position with five games lost. Immortals' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Santiago Max.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 5: Del Patio was smashed by LDC Ignite on the road 97-77. Del Patio won against Santiago Basket on its own court 108-91. Verano unfortunately lost to Santiago Max in a road game 65-70. Verano recorded a loss to Santiago Basket at home 97-109.
The most impressive performance of 5th round was 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds by Jalen Crowder of Santiago Basket.

LDC Ignite dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Del Patio's 40. American Clarence Tillman (196-1990, college: N.Georgia) nailed a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard DAngelo Elliott (196, college: Temple JC) accounted for 27 points and 8 rebounds. Tillman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Angel Nunz came up with 20 points and Jomalfry Cabrera added 10 points respectively for Del Patio in the defeat. Four LDC Ignite and five Del Patio players scored in double figures.
